TO WALK WITH AN ANGEL

Remember naught the evening tide,
that brought you to the Angel's side?
Clear struck eyes of crystal waters
Hand in hand beside her sauntered . . .

Speechless night, thoughts void of words
Muffled whispers never heard
As wind and rain together merged,
No words were needed, You understood . . .

In deeper pools a Father's love
In fewer words a Father's heart
In angelic hands a child's dreams,
Were safe to roam by flowing streams . . .

A moment, a day; A second or an hour
Time belittled in the present that was ours
Content to journey by an angel's side
And there to wait, rest, abide . . .
